Abstract:Objective To analyze the application of E-Coach health education management model on the prevention of subcutaneous fat hyperplasia in diabetic patients. Methods A total of 200 diabetic patients who received insulin injection for the first time in the Nanjing Jiangbei Hospital from 2022 January to 2023 December were selected. Patients were divided into the routine group and study group by generation of random numbers, with 100 cases in each group. The patients of routine group were given routine nursing, while the patients of study group were given E-Coach health education management on the basis of routine nursing. The incidence of subcutaneous fat hyperplasia, area of subcutaneous fat hyperplasia, quality of life and self-management behavior were compared between two groups after 5 months of intervention. Results After 5 months of intervention, the incidence (5.00% vs 13.00%) and area of subcutaneous fat hyperplasia ［(93.35±18.07)mm2 vs (101.67±20.11) mm2］ in study group were lower than those in routine group (P＜0.05). After intervention, the self-management behavior scale scores and life quality scale scores in study group were higher than those in routine group (P＜0.05). Conclusion E-Coach management model has good effect on the prevention of subcutaneous fat hyperplasia in diabetic patients, which can improve patients' self-management behavior and quality of life. It is the sustainable and effective health management model.
