Abstract:Salt-inducible kinase(SIK) is a serine/threonine protein kinase. It has been confirmed that SIK plays an important role in energy metabolism, cell signal transduction, cell cycle, tumor, melanogenesis and many other aspects. At present, a large number of studies have shown that the occurrence and development of depression, sleep disorders, epilepsy, stroke and other diseases are closely related to SIK. This article will focus on the research progress of the correlation between SIK and neuropsychiatric diseases.
