Abstract:Objective To report a rare case of gastroblastoma, and to provide reference for the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of the disease.Methods The diagnosis and treatment process of a 51-year-old female patient with gastroblastoma admitted to Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine on September 16, 2021, was retrospectively reported, and clinical data such as imaging data and pathological data were sorted out and analyzed in combination with relevant literature. Results The patient complained chiefly of finding melena for more than half a month,and was initially diagnosis as “gastric stromal tumor” after admission, and underwent surgical treatment. Postoperative pathological results: gastric epithelial-mesenchymal mixed tumor, combined with immunohistochemical markers, tended to be gastroblastoma. There were no signs of recurrence and metastasis during the 7-month follow-up.Conclusion Combined with the existing literature reports, the incidence of gastroblastoma is mainly young men, and the predilection site is gastric antrum. The biological behavior of the tumor tends to be indolent, and the prognosis of most cases is favorable. Postoperative pathological and immunohistochemical examination results are the only methods for definite diagnosis at present, and surgery is the first choice for treatment.
