Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Tanreqing injection in the treatment of community-acquired pneumonia(CAP). Methods Randomized controlled trials of Tanreqing injection for CAP were collected from 6 different databases of CNKI, Wanfang database, VIP China Science and Technology Journal database (CSTJ),CBM disc, PubMed, and Cochrane Center Control Trial Register (CENTRAL).Meta-analysis was carried out using RevMan 5.3 software for the included literature. Results A total of 56 eligible randomized controlled trials were included in this study. Meta-analysis showed Tanreqing combined with antibiotics in the treatment of CAP was superior to antibiotics alone in improving the recovery rate, shortening the disappearance time of fever, cough and expectoration, shortening the absorption time of inflammation and rales under imaging. There was no significant difference in the above indexes between Tanreqing alone and antibiotics alone and adverse reactions reported in 27 studies. Conclusion Tanreqing combined with antibiotics has better curative effect than antibiotics alone. Tanreqing injection alone has the same effect as antibiotics alone.
