Abstract:Objective To summarize the research hotspots and trends related to navel moxibustion in the past decade to provide directions and ideas for clinical development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) nursing. Methods The research data on umbilical moxibustion in China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) database from 2011 to 2021 were collected to analyze the authors, research institutions and keywords on umbilical moxibustion by CiteSpace V5.8 software, mainly focusing on the statistics of frequency, intermediary centrality and knowledge map. Results A total of 1 089 pertinent articles were retrieved, and the annual number of documents published showed an alternating trend of rising and falling. The atlas showed that the team in Acupuncture-Moxibustion and Massage College of Shandong University of TCM, represented by MA Yuxia, was an important scholar and active research institution in the field. When the high-frequency keywords were clustered into 11 categories, ten dominant diseases of umbilical moxibustion nursing were screened out from the keywords. Conclusion The research on umbilical moxibustion in the treatment of constipation and dysmenorrhea is popular, but the overall influence is insufficient. It is necessary to strengthen the cooperation and communication of multiple institutions and centers to deepen the horizontal and vertical development of umbilical moxibustion research.
