Abstract:Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a clinical treatment technology that selectively concentrates photosensitizers on cancer tissue, activates and destroys cancer tissue with specific wavelengths of light. As a new method of local treatment, PDT has been paid more attention and is widely used in the treatment of various tumors and skin diseases because of its high selectivity and few adverse reactions. This article is to review the clinical applications of PDT in the gastrointestinal tumors in recent years.
